Sean's Page
Sean is headed to second grade. Yes, his first grade teachers survived him and passed him along to the second grade. Actually, he did VERY well this year. He's doing great in math and reading at a fifth grade level - I am personally astounded, even though I know that boy of mine is bright. He seemed to really enjoy school this year, despite the switch of schools. He had almost no problems fitting right in and making new friends. And he thinks having a locker is very cool. Sean is also showing he's definitely his father's child this year. Sadly, it's stuff we'd hope would pass him by. First was discovering he had a lot of cavities (he was a very brave kid, going through all that dental work.) And next, he's inherited Josh's motion sickness. It's only happened a few times, but last time, we didn't pull over in time. Ironically, it was coming back from the dentist, where he got a clean bill of dental health (look ma, no cavities!) He's still a goofy kids, our Sean, to the point that some days, it's like living with the entire cast of the Muppet Show (and when I said this, Sean asked what the Muppet Show was - so we need to rent that for the kids to watch.) However, I am happy to report that he managed to curb his goofy tendencies during school hours. He also has a great interest in all things aquatic. He has his stuffed killer whale, his water Pokemon, and little killer whale. And a dolphin. Who knows, he may turn out to be the next Jacques Cousteau.
