Healy Family Photographs

In front: James Healy, Mary O'Hern Healy

In back: (Mary) Ann Catherine Healy (James and Mary's daughter) holding Helen Neagle (James and Mary's granddaughter)

(Date of photograph unknown, but possibly about 1910)

Mary O'Hern Healy (date of photo unsure, maybe 1870's?)

(Mary) Ann Catherine Healy - circa 1915  - The dress she is wearing in the picture is what she always referred to as her engagement dress.

The Healy house on the south side of Chicago (Morgan Park area I think).  This photo was most likely taken about the turn of the century (1900 that is.)

We aren't sure who these children are, but are sure they are Healy's or cousins of Healy's.  My mother thinks that the picture was taken on Navy Pier in Chicago.  This picture and the picture of the house above were not found in picture form.  I was going through my grandmother's box of pictures, found an envelope of old negatives, and realized I had stumbled across a treasure chest of sorts.  With the aide of my mother's scanner, we were able to turn a few of these negatives into picture form.  So for the first time, my mother and I were able to see my great-great- grandfather's house, back in all it's Victorian glory.  Hopefully, through piecing together with other photographs and the people in them, we will be able to find out who the children in the other picture are.

It's hard to see in this photo (which came from the group of negatives we found), standing are James Healy, his daughter Ann O'Hanley, and most likely Ann's children James and Mary O'Hanley.  They are in front of a monument with the the date 1898 on the top.  We think that it is where James Healy re-interred his mother Mary Healy in Calvary Cemetery in Evanston, IL, but that is just a guess.  The picture was probably taken around 1920.
